      Our Indigo Floral Paint Inlay by IOD was inspired by the intertwining and rambling florals found on a 1780 cotton bedcover from India. Depending upon how it is used, this delicate and deep blue Paint Inlay can exude either a classic or bohemia esthetic.

      IOD Paint Inlays are the artisanal answer to decor transfers. You can use the IOD Paint Inlay on glass, fabric, and of course wood. They’re not a decal; they’re not a synthetic film; they’re not decoupage. It’s oh so much better! When you apply an IOD Paint Inlay, paint is physically embedded into the surface of your project. After drying, the carrier paper is removed, leaving an authentic painted design and a buttery, almost leather-like surface on your piece.

      And, as if once isn't enough, you can usually get a beautifully faded second impression, with the residual pigment on your 'leftover' Paint Inlay sheets. Depending on the techniques and colors you are using with your Paint Inlay, sometimes you can even get a third impression!

      Important Note: For best results with a basic application, use a chalk-type paint, like our Debi's DIY Chalk Paint that is does not contain polymers and is VOC free. 

      There is a bit of a learning curve with the inlay but the results are oh so worth it. We think you're going to love them!
